WILL Statement on SCOWIS Decision Denying Bypass Petition

WILL issued a statement following the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s denial of a bypass petition in Abbotsford Education Association v. WERC, which would have allowed the state’s highest court to rule on the merits of Act 10 immediately, entirely circumventing the Court of Appeals.

WILL, American Civil Rights Project, FASORP, and CEO Take Legal Action Against American Bar Association

WILL and a coalition of civil rights and liberties organizations have filed a Title VII charge with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against the American Bar Association (ABA). This filing comes on the heels of new executive orders and directives from the Trump administration to eliminate unconstitutional discrimination and move toward a color-blind, merit-based approach.

New NAEP Results Highlight How DPI Has Cooked the Books on Accountability

2024 NAEP results were released and WILL does a deep dive into the numbers. Not surprisingly, they paint a dim picture of student performance since the pandemic, both in Wisconsin and across the nation. NAEP is a nationally representative sample of schools throughout the country that allows for an apples-to-apples comparison of students in each state, and some cities.
