WILL Secures Major 2nd Amendment Victory for Millions of Firearm Owners Nationwide

Federal Judge Issues Nationwide Injunction in Britto V. ATF

The News: Today, the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) announced a significant legal victory in Britto V. ATF—a nationwide injunction protecting millions of firearm owners across America. This victory follows several preliminary injunctions on the ATF’s Pistol Brace Rule, but this is the first injunction that applies to all Americans, not just the plaintiffs in pending cases.

The Quote: WILL Deputy Counsel, Dan Lennington stated, “This new federal ruling protects the 2nd Amendment Rights of millions of Americans. WILL is proud to work alongside our clients and blaze a trail against this unconstitutional federal action.”

Additional Background: WILL filed the very first lawsuit against the ATF back in January on behalf of its clients, three military veterans. Our case argued that the ATF could not circumvent Congress and force Americans to choose between registering their firearms with the federal government or becoming criminals.

WILL Clients: Darren A. Britto, Gabriel A. Tauscher, Shawn M. Kroll

About WILL: We litigate, educate and participate in public discourse. Our case categories include Individual Liberties, Equality Under the Law, Constitutional Government and the Rule of Law, Economic Freedom, and Education Reform. We have prevailed in roughly 80% of the matters we have undertaken. Our record of winning is indisputable. WILL’s winning reputation has allowed us to settle other matters without ever filing a lawsuit.

This is WILL’s 7th major legal victory against the Biden administration. Our track record serves as a disincentive for those who would like to expand government bureaucracy and limit our freedoms. We keep them from even thinking about it.
