WILL Welcomes Attorney CJ Szafir

WILL would like to welcome our newest attorney, CJ Szafir!  He will be working on our education reform initiative and comes to us at an exciting time when Wisconsin has become a leader in the education reform movement.  Wisconsin has recently passed laws that, among other things, help students escape failing schools for better institutions, give parents more choices of places to educate their children, and equip administrators with the tools to improve the teaching at their schools.

But these reforms bring many new legal issues and regulatory hurdles that CJ will be working on by providing legal advice, counseling, and advocacy to our clients. He will also give legal support to schools and organizations that are burdened by the roadblocks set up by the entrenched and established bureaucracies.

Before coming to WILL, CJ was policy advisor to State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald. He is a graduate from Marquette Law School, where he worked in Governor Scott Walker’s Office of Legal Counsel and served as Vice President of the Federalist Society. He also holds a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Michigan State University.
