WILL Launches Wisconsin School Quality Map

Innovative tool equips parents, school leaders with data on Wisconsin schools.

WILL is launching the Wisconsin School Quality Map, an interactive tool to equip Wisconsin parents and school leaders in every corner of our state with critical data on the academic quality of Wisconsin schools – public, charter, and private. The website includes an interactive state map that allows users to review data on the schools in their neighborhood or town.

Visit the WILL SCHOOL QUALITY MAP (www.will-law.org/map).

Some of the data included in the Wisconsin School Quality Map are:

  • Color rankings that match the Performance Ranking based on WILL’s groundbreaking ‘Apples to Apples’ study. This ranking allows users to make comparisons between schools that account for the sociodemographic profile of the schools.
  • Demographic information about schools that include the racial composition, economic status, and disability status of students.
  • The Department of Public Instruction school report card score and growth score.

WILL Research Director Will Flanders said, “It is our sincere belief that parents make better decisions when they have access to school information. It is our mission with the Wisconsin School Quality Map to help fill that need by providing an easy to use tool to quickly determine the best schools in a neighborhood, town, region, or state.”
