YAF v. U.S. Department of Education

WILL filed its 12th lawsuit against the Biden-Harris Administration, this time targeting the U.S. Department of Education’s McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program. This program provides financial and educational opportunities to students nationwide who want to pursue graduate studies. But many college students are ineligible because of their race.

Cernek V. Argyle

The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty has filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of Jordan Cernek, a former teacher in the Argyle School District, for violating Mr. Cernek’s Title VII rights, First Amendment right to Free Exercise of his religion, and Article I, Section 18 of the Wisconsin Constitution.

Beloit School District Rescinds Scholarship’s Racial Eligibility Criterion Following WILL’s Legal Threat

The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty has been notified by the School District of Beloit that it will reconfigure its “Grow Your Own Multicultural Teacher Scholarship Program” to remove the racial eligibility criterion. The District has promised that it will not accept new applications or award anyfurther GYO scholarships until the program has been accordingly revised and published.

White v. Village of Sister Bay

WILL and Attorney Bjorn Johnson have filed a lawsuit against the Village of Sister Bay on behalf of their clients Captains Cottage LLC, a short-term rental in the Village for unlawfully refusing to issue Captains Cottage a permit to rent the property.

Johnson v. MacCudden

WILL has filed an appeal on behalf of Scarlett Johnson, a Wisconsin Moms for Liberty Activist, who is being sued for defamation for criticizing her school district on social media for employing a “social justice coordinator.”
