Governor Tony Evers vetoed the WILL-backed “Red Tape Reset,” a comprehensive regulatory reform package supported by a broad coalition of free-market groups and Wisconsin job creators.
The Wisconsin State Senate approved Assembly Joint Resolution 133 (AJR 133) on first consideration, a WILL-supported proposed amendment to the Wisconsin Constitution designed to restore legislative oversight of administrative rulemaking.
The Wisconsin Assembly voted in favor of several legislative initiatives supported by WILL to reign in the bureaucratic state, which has taken rulemaking and regulatory authority away from Wisconsin’s Legislative Branch.

A wide coalition of free market groups and associations representing Wisconsin’s largest job creators are calling on the Wisconsin Legislature to vote on a legislative package known as the “Red Tape Reset.” The package was formally introduced last year and has advanced out of committee in both houses.
WILL released a new report making the case for much-needed regulatory reform in the state while also highlighting several solutions that were introduced in the Wisconsin legislature today.
