Virtual Townhall: Proposed Title IX Rule Problems, Coming to a School Near You Soon

Over 50 years of Title IX is at stake, and the hard-fought rights, safety, and wellbeing of young women and girls could be turned upside-down. The U.S. Department of Education under the Biden Administration recently published two proposed rules related to Title IX. One would change the definition of sex to include gender identity, and the other is specific to athletics and would prohibit schools from adopting or enforcing policies that categorically ban transgender students from participating on teams consistent with their gender identity.
