WILL Press Release | Announces New Associate Counsel for Education Law and Policy

Attorney Sobic will focus on education reform, public policy research

June 1, 2016 – Milwaukee, WI – The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty announced today that it has hired Libby Sobic as Associate Counsel for Education Law and Policy.

Sobic graduated from Marquette University Law School this spring and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, also from Marquette. Prior to joining WILL last year as a Law Clerk, Sobic worked for Marquette in a variety of capacities, including the Offices of Public Affairs and University Advancement. Sobic’s roles included working closely with university alumni and supporting university initiatives related to higher education and economic development. During law school, she also worked as a teaching assistant for a law school professor and earned her certificate in alternative dispute resolution.

Sobic is from Peshtigo, Wisconsin and has a background in Wisconsin politics. Sobic is passionate about education reform, her faith community and volunteering.
